Julie Saulnier is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal, where she also works in the field of cognitive ergonomics (software development). She has been painting since the age of 15, driven by a constant fascination with human beings and their inner dynamics.

Over the years, Julie has explored various techniques and materials before focusing her practice on the composition of abstract portraits, drawing inspiration in particular from the principles of Gestalt and the interplay of shadows. Her works explore the construction and deconstruction of personality while celebrating openness toward others and the universal search for connection.

Through her work, she seeks to remind us that beneath our differences, we are all driven by the same fundamental desire: to be seen, understood, and welcomed.
